day 25

Fantastic!

I had meant to “blog” yesterday.. but didn’t. It probably would have been a good one, but nope.. didn’t happen. Yesterday was my first day catching the “22″ downtown to work. I wasn’t very optimistic that when I got on the bus, people would be jumping at the chance to give me their seat.

Finally, someone tapped on my shoulder, at the very front of bus… in the single elevated seat a little old lady who couldn’t speak a word of English motions for her seat.

She absolutely insisted that I take her seat as she hopped out and almost forced me to sit down. I was to say the least a little embarrassed. But mostly taken back by her enthusiastic kindness.

As for the earlier, Fantastic!.. my knee feels great. Some new stretches have been introduced and if not for the need to bring crutches to get a seat on the bus I could probably be completely crutch free!

A little bit of advice completely unrelated to my knee injury and recovery, when in the City of Vancouver… Do not,

“PARK WITHIN 6 METRES OF THE NEAREST EDGE OF THE CLOSEST SIDEWALK OR AN INTERSECTING STREET”.

That little tidbit will save you, $170! (including cab ride)
